At Roofing Singapore Pte Ltd, we have professional waterproofing experts who provide toilet waterproofing solutions for both residential and commercial properties in Singapore. We follow different methods for different types of toilets. Here are the four methods we follow most:
In this method, we remove the old tiles, and replece with the new and fittest tiles for full scale for long term leak elimination. We apply this method only for the toilets that have a severe leakage issue in the tiles.
In this case, we do not remove the existing tiles and apply PU or epoxy coating directly over the tiles. We seal all the joints and gaps without removing any tiles. This is an affordable solution for toilet waterproofing.
We use an advanced moisture meter and pressure testing for locating the exact leakage in the floor, walls, and plumbing lines. This process is also less costly, and a quick repair prevents further damage to your toilet.
To prevent hidden seepage and mold growth, we apply waterproofing sealants to tile joints, corners, and grout lines. This enhances your existing waterproofing and extends the life span of your toilet structure.
In the second step, we need to ensure the surface is clean and dry. We use a roller or brush to ensure good adhesion of the waterproofing layer.
Liquid Membranes: First, we mix and apply the liquid membrane to the floor and the lower portions of the walls. Then we use two full coats to ensure a seamless, pinhole-free barrier. After that, we embed reinforcing tape in critical areas, such as corners and around pipes.
Sheet Membranes: We roll out and adhere the popular sheet membrane to the prepared surface. We use popular sheet membranes to prevent water penetration.
Cementitious Waterproofing: We use a cement-sand mixture with a waterproofing compound to create a durable waterproofing barrier.
The last step is to protect the waterproofing system. Once the waterproofing membrane is applied, it must be protected from mechanical damage.
